PHILANTHROPY

Alpha Phi's philanthropy is the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports Women's Heart Health and works by:

• Supporting training and programming led by Alpha Phi Fraternity

• Awarding scholarships to undergraduate and graduate Alpha Phis

• Investing in the advancement of women’s heart health

• Helping members in need through the Forget Me Not Grant Fund

• Celebrating the forward-thinking women that shaped Alpha Phi by preserving our rich heritage

Our chapter holds Heart Health Week, where we are able to raise money for our philanthropy cause through the help and support of our generous community! During this week, we host certain events such as Wing Night, Alpha Phi-fa, and Mr. Heartthrob!

We have recently partnered with Starting Hearts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Avon, CO,  to cooperate in the development of a first-of-its-kind college affiliate program to address the issue of sudden cardiac arrest on campus. The agreement calls for the creation of a sustainable long-term program to prepare citizens in the community to act as citizen first responders when needed to provide early care while emergency medical personnel are en route.  Starting Hearts’ personnel work with the Alpha Phi's membership in education, defibrillator placement, and community outreach activities.
