BIG/LIL SIS
The new member period of being an Alpha Phi is truly an amazing experience! Weekly, we pair a new sister and active member on an 'Ivy Linker' date, so that they can spend time getting to know each other. These are valuable moments for our sisters as it allows the active and new members to form bonds.
All bonds formed within Alpha Phi are special and cherished. However, big and little bonds are often viewed as the most impactful! We pair all new members with an older member to act as a "big sister" and mentor for the new member. Having a mentor has shown to be valuable to our sisters by accommodating them through big changes in their college experience!
SOCIAL
One of the many benefits of joing a Greek organization is the many relationships made and experiences had! Every semester, the women of Alpha Phi plan a formal event to celebrate the accomplishments of our members. We have held our formals at venues such as the Denver Aquarium, Butterfly Pavilion, and Denver Museum. We also often plan socials with other fraternities and sororities to form strong connections within our collegiate community.Â
Our favorite social events are our monthly sisterhood events where we, as sisters, plan an event to all spend time together. We have had a number of different sisterhoods such as movie nights, spa nights, cookie and cupcake decorating, roller skating, and, our favorite, laser tag!
ALUMNAE
Being a sister in Alpha Phi is not just for four years... it's for life! Involvement in Alpha Phi spans much farther than just collegiate chapters. Yearly, we hold a Forget Me Not Ball to honor our senior members who have joined the Denver Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Phi, and where current Alumnae are invited! We want our Alumnae sisters to know that wherever they go, they are never alone. They always have a home here at the Delta Gamma chapter of Alpha Phi.
